From a family dream to a holding that connects Chile with the global market.

Consolidate, expand and
professionalize the family business,
without losing its essence
ORIGINS (2003)

The first steps: passion, community and vision.

It all began in 2003 with the opening of the restaurant Tierra Colombiana, a meeting point for the Latin community in Chile. The success of the restaurant led its founder, Víctor Reyes, to identify a greater opportunity: to import authentic Latin American products to supply other businesses in the industry. Thus, Importadora Altamira was born, a company that would mark the beginning of a story of growth, alliances, and leadership.

“Growing is serving with purpose.” — Víctor Reyes, Founder of GDF
GROWTH AND CONSOLIDATION (2011 — 2018)

From specialization to leadership.

During the following decade, the importer strengthened its position in the Chilean market, consolidating exclusive alliances with major international brands and expanding its infrastructure with new offices and warehouses. In 2018, the company Transportes y Logística Altamira emerged, to optimize the distribution chain and ensure a more agile and efficient service throughout the country. This was the point at which GDF transformed into a business group with a long-term vision.

DIVERSIFICATION AND NEW CHALLENGES (2019 — 2023)

Growth with purpose.

The group expands its reach with the creation of Comercial Apoquindo in 2019, dedicated to the representation of brands in the beauty, wellness, and fashion sectors. In 2023, with the aim of professionalizing management, ADMIN & HR Don Fernando is born, focused on strategic consulting, administration, and organizational development. Each new company reaffirms GDF's commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustainable diversification.

CONSOLIDATION OF THE HOLDING (2024 — PRESENT)

The legacy transforms into the future.

In 2024, the Board of Directors of Grupo Don Fernando (GDF) is established, formalizing the structure of the holding and consolidating its corporate identity. The new generation Carolina, Rodrigo, and Víctor Reyes take on key roles within the group, continuing their father's mission: to expand, professionalize, and strengthen the family brand without losing its essence. Today, GDF represents the union between tradition and modern vision, a story of trust, work, and commitment that continues to be written every day.
